DEVELOPMENT STATUS: IN ENTITLEMENT

Construction has started on the El Dorado II Apartments, a transit-oriented, mixed-use workforce housing community fronting on the Mission Road urban corridor. Slated for completion in fall 2021, El Dorado II will encompass 84 family apartments that consist of 72 newly constructed units, and 12 completely remodeled units. The urban infill development also includes 1,970 square feet of ground-level commercial space for new retail and community service uses.

Located at 304 West Mission Road on a three-acre site west of Pleasant Way , El Dorado II will serve the city’s large-family population with spacious two- and three-bedroom apartment homes.

To fully serve its residents, the apartment community will include a leasing center; community center, which includes a media lab, lounge, office, and social room; laundry room; and the neighborhood serving commercial space for retail and community outlets.

A truly walkable property within an active urban neighborhood, El Dorado II is transit friendly with proximity to bus stops and the North County Transit District and San Marcos Sprinter Station, and is near Buelow Park, San Marcos Elementary and Connors Park and Sport Field. It is also close to grocery stores, pharmacies, and general retail, as well as the State University San Marcos and San Marcos Civic Center and library.
